PROJECT SUMMARY
The Story Behind the Project
This residential project involved the interior painting and decorating of a five-bedroom period house on Warwick Avenue. The aim was to refresh the property while preserving its distinctive architectural character, combining rich contemporary wall colours with traditional fireplaces, decorative mouldings and detailed woodwork.
Extensive preparation was required across the interior before the final finishes could be applied. Walls and ceilings were repaired and prepared, cracks and surface imperfections were addressed, and surrounding features were carefully protected during the work. The project also included detailed painting of doors, shelving, fitted cabinetry, skirting boards and other interior woodwork.
Deep Farrow & Ball tones were used on selected walls, creating a strong contrast with the white ceilings, cornices and restored joinery. Existing wooden floors and original period details were retained, allowing the new colour scheme to enhance rather than overpower the character of the house.
The finished property balances traditional architectural features with bold, modern colour choices. The result is an elegant and individual interior, completed with careful preparation, precise workmanship and close attention to the details that define this period London home.
